The High Velocity Range of Lyalvale Express were first introduced in 1986. They have been continuously upgraded every year.

Express High Velocity Cartridges have been used by International shooters for diverse disciplines such as Trap, Olympic Trap, Skeet, ATA Trap, Compact Sporting & FITASC Sporting

In fact in January 1997 they were upgraded again with the latest Vectan AS powder made in Brittany, France. This latest powder from SNPE Group is a single base very clean burning powder introduced to replace NSI C7SV powder previously used in the 24 gram & 28 gram High Velocity Cartridges.

The 32 gram Express High Velocity Cartridges will continue to use the AS range of powders. These upgrades have evolved from the demands of shooters who have indicated that they would like us to use Vectan powders in all our High Velocity Competition cartridges.

The shot is made in Italy to our specifications at a specialist lead shot manufacturing facility. Quality control includes checking the Antimony and other hardener contents (3%) as well as sphericity and surface imperfections.

The plastic wad ensures a very efficient burn and protects the shot from deformation. The Plastic Wad is designed to protect the shot and open at the muzzle to prevent the wad from scattering the shot when the shot leaves the muzzle.

Our range of High Velocity Competition Cartridges extends from 24 grams (7/8 oz.) for very light recoil and for any I.S.U Disciplines to 36 grams( 1 1/4 oz.) cartridges for those disciplines which allow this load. Nickel Plated shot is available to special order (Minimum 10,000 cartridges).
