With the increasing demand for Bio degradable cartridges the development team at Lyalvale decided to design an alternative to the Fibre wad used by most cartridge manufacturers.


The Super felt uses a traditional style Felt wad enclosing a cork centre.

 

The unique design of this wad which is only used by Lyalvale allows the cartridge to achieve a muzzle velocity in excess of 1450 fps without the harshness and recoil which would be present if a standard fibre wad was used.
All Super Felt Cartridges have Lead shot with 5.7% Antimony and other hardeners. This shot is made for us in Italy by a specialist lead shot manufacturing Facility to very high standards of sphericity, grading and surface finish. The use of the extra hard shot coupled with the use of the true felt wad enables the Super Felt to reach long distance targets which otherwise would be virtually impossible to hit with a standard fibre wadded product.

The powders used in the all the Super Felt cartridges are Vectan Powders made in Brittany, France by the SNPE Group. All the powders are single base flake Nitrocellulose powders to ensure consistency and cleanliness.

Quality Control of Super Felt Cartridges is achieved by loading them in the most advanced computer controlled machines currently available. All batches are tested in the most up to date ballistic laboratory under supervision of the Birmingham Proof House.
