The range of Lyalvale Express 20ga. cartridges were introduced to compliment the already successful 12ga. cartridges.

The Somerset Game 20 gauge cartridge is available in 30 gm and 32gm in a true 65mm (2 1/2in.) case. With the finest propellant from Vectan, it performs without compromise.

The cartridges in this range have been specifically designed to give the 20 gauge shooter optimum performance and quality irrespective of which discipline is chosen.

The game loads available in 20 gauge from Express have been developed to accommodate the most discerning of shooters, whether the fibre wad is preferable to the plastic wad or the light load is required for small quarry Express have the answer.

The painstakingly developed formulae of hard hitting low recoil cartridges throughout the Express range remains inherent in the game loads, yet as with all Express game cartridges the traditional English game gun remains in full consideration as all the 21 and 25gm products are loaded into true 2 1/2" (65mm) cases. To achieve such a reputation we only use the finest components. The case is a distinctive yellow to prevent accidental mixing with other large gauges. The powder used is the very well respected Vectan propellant made in France by the SNPE Group. Vectan powder achieves consistent ballistics while being clean burning and efficient. As with all Express cartridges the lead is the finest quality, all told this combination of components gives rise to the ultimate in 20 gauge performance.

In line with our policy of meeting the requirements of our customers we have developed a new Fibre wad high game load in 20 gauge. The Somerset 30gm and 32gm are specially formulated to give the finest patterns at extreme ranges to bring down the hardest of quarry. As with all our 20 gauge fibre the Somerset is in a true 65mm (2 1/2 in.) case for use in traditional English guns.
