The 2026 Lyalvale Sportrap Masters took place over two fantastic days at Owls Lodge Shooting Ground on the 21st and 23rd of May, bringing together a brilliant field of competitors for a memorable event.
The weather conditions across both days were excellent for shooting, with bright sunshine and very little wind creating ideal targets and consistent conditions. While the calm weather certainly helped the shooters, many competitors were battling the heat throughout the event.
The competition was overseen by longtime Lyalvale Express user Richard Faulds, and the event ran flawlessly from start to finish. We would like to extend a huge thank you to the grounds and the entire team at Owls Lodge for hosting such a well-organised and enjoyable event.
Across the two days, we also had the opportunity to speak with many competitors about steel shot and the upcoming lead ban. Congratulations go to High Gun winner Chris Childerhouse, who secured the title with an outstanding Day 1 score of 143.
